From May 26 to June 09, 2022, the National Forest Inventory Center headed by Oleksandr Shevchuk, Head of the CNFI, conducted collective training of the NFI fieldwork performers. The collective training is held in accordance with paragraphs 19-21 of the Procedure for National Forest Inventory, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on April 21, 2021, Resolution № 392, Manual for the collective training of performers of field works on the national forest inventory and the approved Program.

The collective training was provided by the teaching staff: CNFI Head Oleksandr Shevchuk, Deputy Head of the CNFI Andriy Shamray, Software Engineer of the 2nd category Igor Aleksiyuk (online) and with the participation of the coordinator of the project “Technical Support to Forest Policy Development and National Forest Inventory Implementation” Vitaliy Storozhuk. The participants of the training are specialists who have passed the educational and theoretical course of lectures and successfully passed exams in the format of testing, admitted to the main and special part of collective training. According to the results of the assessment of collective training, 5 teams were allowed to perform field work and will work within the administrative regions of Ukraine on the territory where it is possible to safely conduct selective statistical surveys on the forest inventory plots under martial law.
